This ad that I chose from Nike is to promote its Nike ID sector of its website which allows consumers to customize their own Nike sneakers with their own shoe style, colors, and type. This ad is extremely effective because for me Nike's use of colorful paint suggests youthfulness, creativity, and independance; perfect for this specific sector of their company. The bold colors used are mostly analogous (the red, orange, and yellow), however the few splashes of blue used complement orange.
This next advertisement is for Sharps Shaveres and their "Barber Brigade" website. Not only do the iconic images the ad uses- of the classic barber chair and barber's pole evoke feelings of nostalgia and an older era, the vintage brown color used is perhaps most powerful in conveying these feelings. The contrast between brown and white is strong, but not overpowering, and certainly not as high as black and white. This vintage feel that the ad conveys is appropriate for this company because with this classic image of a barber shop comes feelings of quality, neighborhood, and an expertness that comes with years of doing something- which will make consumers feel that this a brand that they can trust.
