I'm a fan of Philip DeFranco, YouTube celebrity. He makes me giggle; it's a good three to four minute break from homework. But a couple months ago something happened
to him... I'm not sure what it was exactly, but he seemed angry and his show started to weaken. I was sad.

But then this week he reinvented himself and his show. I was shocked and pleased to see a new intro on his Monday video, and I think the colors may have set me up to enjoy the show it preceded more than I would have otherwise. OK, maybe it was the monkey, but go with it for a second here. Either way I prepped for a good chuckle.

He uses a monochromatic color scheme in the design of the monkey in a sunburst of yellow-orange. This bright and happy color starts his video out right, commanding your attention and giving an air of light and fun happiness. And his show made me snicker once again.

You know what a good laugh does to me? It makes me hungry. You know what else makes me hungry? Color. I always stop an drool for minute in front of the magazine racks that I pass. Sometimes I pick one up and stare with my mouth open, like if I keep mouth open like that the food will eventually come off of the cover and satisfy my sudden craving.

Food magazines seem to be big fans of using a white background to make those veggies look fresher or that fruit topped dessert look sweeter... you don't have to show me twice.

Other times a flood of green will make you feel like you're being healthy, or an overabundance of soft pink will make you feel like that cake really cares about you, and it wants to be with you, too.
