I picked the Johnson Controls logo. According to Wikipedia, Johnson Controls is a "multi-industrial company with 140,000 employees in 1,300 locations across six continents." Their logo uses the gestalt principle of closure. The waves do not form a complete circle, but a circle can still be seen.
The logo's different color lines represent different ideas and people coming together, ideas overlapping. For such large company, in a conservative environment, the logo is rather bright and upbeat. The waves also represent abstract J's and C's.
The sans serif font used is conservative with a slightly modern flare. The logo is bright and colorful, which indicates the company's look toward the future.
