1) The Gestalt principles that are prevelent in this logo design are continuation, movement and proximity. The superfluous design of the dragon fly's body causes the eye to follow the the drawing and prompts the eye to move to the right hand side. Also, by making the tail of the dragon fly a bright blue, which is a cool color contrasting with the warm pink color attracts interest in the viewer as they will be more prone to follow the text to the end. Also, proximity can be seen on this logo as the reader groups the text and the image together due to their similar color and close relation to one another. 2) This design is youthful, feminine and fun, and creates an artistic personality, which aligns itself well with the intention of the company, as it is a creative interior design firm.
3) With the use of a slightly italicized typeface, the text encourages the idea of movement and intertwines its femininity in the design. Also, by displaying a concise and straight-forward image and text pairing, the reader is not overstimulated by too much garbily-goup text, however the design keeps its readers interest as it has a sheer pink scribble in the back that creates a framing for the logo. this also creates cohesion in the design.

Hey Claire - great use of gobbledygook, and just wanted to make sure you knew the proper spelling.
