Week 8: Logo with Gestalt Principle | Ben Berk

Eredivisie logotype
1) This is the logo for the Dutch soccer league, the Eredivisie. The gestalt principle in play is closure. The soccer ball isn't fully drawn but our eyes close it because enough of it is completed.
2) This logo conveys speed, athleticism and movement.
3) The movement stripes on the left side make the ball seem as if it is moving. This works with the idea that their soccer is fast and flowing, which is more exciting. Additionally, the bright colors are very fun, which makes the viewer think the league is fun. Additionally, the largest stripe is blue, which is one of the colors on the Dutch flag.
