WEEK 11 | DAVIS | USABILITY

The Engadget website was recently redesigned be more usable. One of the nicest features is the simple white background. It allows to the information on the page to really standout. The navigation bar at the top is small and minimalist. Another nice feature is the easy access to the most important articles at the top of the page. The catchy titles and pictures quickly capture the reader and lead them into the site. Scrolling down the page reveals a common blog format, where readers can easily discern through various articles. The site makes use of a lot of pictures, which are more visually appealing then words and make the site less of a strain on the eyes. Clinking on an article, of course, will reveal more text. The site also uses FF DIN for the most part, which always is a plus in my book.
