One website that is completely dependent on users is www.textsfromlastnight.com. The basis of the website is user posting funny texts that they received and otehr users rating which nights were good and which were bad. The website is very easy to use and organizes texts in many different categories such as Best Nights, Worst Nights, and Random. The main page lists the texts in the order that they were submitted. Each text has the area code that it came from and you can also search for other texts from that area code. The website is very easy to use and fullfills its purpose of entertaining the user and promoting future use. Without users, textsfromlastnight.com would not exist. It is a website that literally is nothing without users. I fell that the color and typeface of the website match the theme and content very well. It seems hip and cool, but also simple, using basic fonts and the colors black, red, and white. The simplicity makes the website very user friendly and helps to ensure its success.
Victoria,
ReplyDeleteGood example and analysis. Would have loved to see your opinion on what a site like this says about our media culture, though.
Keep up the good work.
Cheers,
