Resume Project 1 | Tocci

I wanted my resume to look simple, sophisticated, and professional. I put my word mark in the center of the page to make it look almost like a letterhead, in order to create a brand for myself. I also designed my word mark with branding in mind – I wanted a simple, classic look that could be easily recognizable. I chose to bold and enlarge my first name to create contrast in my word mark and keep the resume from looking too plain. I typed my headers in all lowercase letters and then bolded them to create visual gestalt that would lead the reader’s eye easily down the page. I also increased the kerning in between the letters in my headers I selected typeface that I thought was readable, simple, and practical, because I want my resume to convey that I am practical and low maintenance.
