Week Three| Marte

Design Strategy:

I don’t think I’m a very creative person, however, I like everything that I do or have, to be organized, clean, girly and classy or sophisticated. At first I didn’t know how to design my resume, but it just came from nowhere. I took a notepad and drew some boxes and my name in very big letters that was my only idea. My name and last name are a perfect 5, which was given me a little bit of trouble because I like to have my M’s very elaborated and I couldn’t find a font that was like that. I’m a PR major and someone in that department or the entertainment industry will see my resume so I wanted it to be appealing and catchy. At the same time sophisticated and classy. I think my resume is very simple but I like it because it reflects me. Everything is aligned at the same place, which makes it very organized.

Choice of Typeface:

I’m a very picky person and I didn’t really find fonts that I liked too much but one of the ones that stood out to me was the Diskus bold, and I used it for my wordmark. It plays a little with the M, which I like and I was kind of looking for, and also is just very neat and spacious. It has an x-medium height, which is good because it doesn’t overwhelm the eye. I chose Garamond for the body because is one of my favorite fonts. I use it all the time, and in my opinion it’s very classy and sophisticated. It’s very neat and just right. I chose pink and brown colors because they contrast very well, and also I wanted to give my resume some pastel-like colors that would be calm and pretty too.
