Covering Photography

Voyaging to the 6th floor of the library makes you feel like your in a whole new building. The elevator doors open to walls covered in a rich dark wooden panel, decorated with huge portraits of people holding themselves with great stature, even though I have no clue who they are i'm sure they were. The lighting just warm enough that you feel as if your walking down the hall way in someones home. You feel as if you should be wearing slippers rather then shoes. I'm not sure if their even was red rugs, but that color- red- just feels like it belongs.
To the left is a room made of glass walls, where the "Covering Photography" exhibit is housed. The lighting in here- 10x brighter- immediately you are transported to a museum looking at the creative design of many photos changed into graphics. Some better then others. Some looked as if someone stole the outline of peoples faces and of objects- perfect contours. Others used as inspiration rather than a blue print for the artist to follow. In all, viewing the before and after was a cool experience. It was easy to get lost in this little space- to take a break from the chaos of being a student with four tests this week and enjoy a little artistic creativity.
