Resume and Rationale

Design Strategy:

Being an advertising major I wanted my resume to have some spunk to it while maintaining its professionalism. I’m interested in interning a lively modern firm in the summer and wanted my resume to reflect that. I feel I achieved that feel by using a light orange throughout my resume. I originally wanted to use a script “S” for my name, however, I feel the “S” I choose is very curvy which helped me achieve a look similar to one that a script S would have created.

Choice of typefaces:

I choose to typefaces for my project Monotype modern std and ITC Garamond std. I used monotype modern only in my middle name “ann” . I wanted my middle name in my word mark however I wanted it to blend yet still stand out. Hence it’s small stature, yet it’s grey letters help to make it stand out. As for the rest of my word mark I used three different families to illustrate my individuality and ability to work under all different circumstances. I find the body font to be playful yet still legible, which is key.
