For my resume, I wanted to be portrayed as being mature and responsible, but also modern and creative. I would most likely be applying for a job or internship at a magazine, and I feel that those qualities are veyr important in that field of work. My name was very difficult for a wordmark, so I just decided to put it in a nice, classic looking font and make it purple to make it stand out. I also made the dots on the "i"s black just to make it a little different and unique. I used the font Onyx MT Std because I liked the long, narrow counters and the contrast between the thick and thin strokes. For my body text, I used Avenir LT Std because I thought that it looked simple and it had a lot of styles and variations to chose from. I added lines to the resume because I felt that it helped draw the eye in toward the text. Without the lines, my eyes wandered around the paper, and I wanted more boundaries for my body text. I also felt that my wordmark looked awkward just floating in the corner, so I wanted to give it something to sit on.
