My resume is designed to appeal to an advertising agency, specifically one that has pharmaceutical companies as clients. I wanted to design a resume that had a creative feel but still maintained a sense of sophistication. I attempted to create a clean, organized, seemingly simplistic layout, with a touch of flair. I strived to maintain the proper ratio of white space to not overwhelm my reader and keep presentable visual gestalt, yet still include as much vital information as possible.
I chose to create my wordmark in a font that replicated a script because I believe it shows class, maturity, perfectionism, and fun. For the body of my resume, I chose to use Adobe Caslon Pro, an oldstyle serif font, to compliment the elegance of the Didot font used in my wordmark and headers. I decided to use small caps for my headers to add visual contrast and relate to my wordmark. I kerned the small caps in my header to move closer to the initial letter to improve the appearance.
To print my resume I chose to use white resume paper so that it would have a professional look.
