Week Two| Marte

Abercrombie & Fitch is one of my favorite stores but I also really like their website. Every time you explore it you feel like if you're inside the store. The sexy, the dark and black background, the pictures all go with each other. The page is also designed differently, as in it's not the browse down to see more clothes, but browse across, which is very unique.
.

The store is very preppy, very classy and clean and the webpage has the same characteristics. They have a lot of white space (in this case grey), which makes it sophisticated because it doesn’t clutter the viewer’s eye with tons of images. It's not a heavy website and it's organized.

We, as digital readers, carry on reading, browsing or just looking around for anything based on our main interest first. Certain cultural values or beliefs make us impatient when we see certain things that we don’t agree on so we just overlook. However, I also think technology has a role in this battle. We live in a very visual world that can make us want or dislike something. For example when I was younger I always picked out books based on the cover, if it didn’t interested me I didn’t want to read it.

Oh no, the classic judging of books by their covers. Well, I might suggest a different paradigm: judge a cover by its design, but don't let that make up your mind on the book.

Good example and I can tell you use this site from your description of what features really work for you in terms of layout/design.

    Keep up the good work.

    Cheers,
