(Red) is a clothing line which donates 50% of its proceeds to the production and distribution of medicine to AIDS victims in Africa.Their logo employs the rule of simplicity through its typeface and color. I was unable to find the exact typeface online, but it's some kind of Arial-Impact hybrid. Easy to read and elementary-looking. The red color is reminiscent of the Red Cross logo, which is another charitable organization they may want to be associated with, and it reminds me of blood (as morbid as that sounds).
I think this logo's use of the rule of closure is what makes it so recognizable. The parenthesis appear on all of its products. They seem to wrap their arms around the name of the company. This design seems appropriate for a company with such a strong commitment to unity and helping others.
Melia,
ReplyDeleteGreat job on this logo analysis, but pay close attention to the starter posts. Ideally, I wanted you to pick out posters or images that might be used on posters.
Best,
