The site I chose is onesentence.org, which is a similar site to fmylife.com. It is entirely user-submitted, and the purpose to tell a story using only one sentence. The stories can range from comedic to really personal anecdotes concerning some really serious events.The site itself is very simple, with no real special graphics or anything. It isn't as well known as some similar sites so it is partially due to lack of funds. But it actually works very well with the site's purpose. The simplicity of the site very well matches the idea of the site: a simple way to tell a story. The site is also really easy to navigate, with just the toolbar along the top and thats it.

ReplyDeleteFascinating example and really funny screen shot. Would have liked to see both more analysis (What goes where? why? how does this help/hinder users?) and also commentary on what a site like this says about our society and technology/media culture.
